Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
Are the police allowed to prevent me from living in my home ?
On friday the 30th of april i moved to a new apartment. On tuesday the 4th the police came to my house with a warrant for my arrest for 3 drug related felonies, that I did not commit. They came into my house with a gun to my head, I did not resist arrest and the officers began kicking me while I was on the ground. They gathered around my 19 sister and 11 mo. old sleeping baby on the floor and aimed shotguns at them. Then when I was taken to court that same day, they said I am not allowed to stay in my own apartmrnt, that I have to stay with my parents and be picked up at the courthouse by them, although I am 22 old. The charges they arrested me on date back to november of 2003, and I was living in my old apartment at that time(the one I had just moved out of. Is this legal with a judges ok?

welcome to Amerika. of course they can do what they did . . . and much worse.
sounds like your bail conditions do not meet your approval. disobey them and you can stay at the county jail instead.
sorry to hear that you an yet another victim of the unwinnable war on drugs. you are under the mistaken authority that the Consitution will help you. Regrettably, it is you (and all of us) who must help the Constitution.
