Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

Does a police officer have the right to seize a legal firearm when the owner has a current license to carry when the firearm was not used to commit a crime, and no charges were filed in the case? It was a simple misunderstanding in which a coworker saw am empty holster, thought I had a firearm at work, and called 911. The officer claimed they didn't have the ability to verify the weapon was legally purchased by me and registered inSC, where I am from. I now live in Pennsylvania

Yes, you were supposed to register the gun in Pennsylvania when you moved here. You did not.
