Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
Pre Trial Intervention in Pa.
I have a friend age 35 who lives in Lancaster, PA. She was arrested on 3/28/08 for shoplifting of a dollar amount of $250. The only other arrest she has is a DUI a year ago. Does she qualify for PTI. She did not receive with the DUI

A prior DUI conviction in Virginia would probably make the defendant ineligible for the kind of deferred diposition you've apparently referenced(which in the Commonwealth is called an SIS or Suspended Imposition of Sentence).
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, however, may have different rules and
a criminal law practitioner from that state should answer this question.
