Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

Press Charge (cont)

The guy who did the damage plead not guilty because I was listed as the victim because he does not feel that the charge is valid in the least considering that the owner was notified, the officer in charge of this matter did not put the right victim down, and the actual owner of the vehicle was contacted and could have clearly stated that he was the one pressing charges.

When stated like that, it does sound like his logic works because The charge said I suffered some sort of financial loss, and I didn't.

Just wanted to know what my options were and of the charge could be altered before the court date.

Thanks Again.

Re: Press Charge (cont)

There is something missing here. If the owner doesn't care you may still be the victim if the defendant was trying to send you a warning or strike at you in some way. You should talk to the police and explain so that they can put the proper charge in the complaint.
