Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
I am on probation in Pennsylvania. I failed to report to my probation officer in March of 2015 and a warrant was issued for my arrest. I moved to Georgia and did 2 weeks in jail there for lying about my name. I was found guilty and given time served. When I turn myself in in PA, will I be penalized for catching the misdemeanor case in Georgia? and how much time am I looking at when I do turn myself in?

Hi, and Thank you for your question,
I wish I could give you the Answer you want to hear, but i would be doing you a disservice if I gave you an incorrect Answer.
When you return to Pennsylvania, you will be required to report the misdemeanor with which you were charged and found Guilty in Georgia. There is no point in trying to hide this from your Probation Officer because most States, including Pennsylvania are members of the Interstate Compact in which States share information between themselves and they have access to the database where this information is stored, so your Probation Officer will find out about your probation violation and being found 'guilty". if you do not report it to your Probation officer, he will find out, anyway and your attempt to conceal it will constitute an additional violation.
It would be impossible for anyone to give you a definitive Answer on the amount of time you are looking at without having your complete records in front of them because it is calculated by using a formula. However, if you had served only part of your sentence, then placed on Probation, then violated your Probation because of being found guilty of the Georgia misdemeanor, the judge in Pennsylvania can revoke/rescind your probation, and order you to finish out your sentence in jail.
I am sincerely sorry that I could not give you better news,
