Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

probation violation

My husband, self-employed, had a business bad check incident three years ago. He was placed on probation. was to pay check and court costs within a year. He paid some of it, but wasn't able to pay all of it. They said he violated probation. He has a hearing coming up. What will happen? he is 59 years old and was never convicted of anything but this.

Re: probation violation

Several things can happen. He can be placed back on probation. He can be sent to jail. The most important thing for him to do is to pay the checks and court costs. And, in the meantime, he should hire an attorney.

Re: probation violation

Either probabtion can be reinstated or revoked, in which case, he is to serve the remaining balance of his probation in jail (for example, if he had two years left of probation, he may have to serve that time in jail/prison). I recommend you hire an attorney to settle the matter with the District Attorney and resolve this matter. Please call for a free initial consultation.
