Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

Proof of guilt

My ex-wife called the police and told them I was ''intimidating her and harassing her'' because I am taking her to court for custody of my daughter. This led to the officer filing misdemeaner harassment charges against me without any proof. Is a judge honestly going to find me guilty just by the officer taking my ex-wife's word? And isn't it intimidation for the officer in question to keep contacting me and harassing me about this?

Re: Proof of guilt

These sorts of things can happen in custody cases. As this is a criminal charge the burden of proof the Commonwealth has to meet is beyond a reasonable doubt.

Filing a law suit is not harassment. However, she must have said more to the police than that.

Never talk to the police it will not help you.

You should contact the lawyer handling your custody matter at once.
