Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
I was pulled over legitimately all crudentials came back good. As officer approached the car to hand them back he said to put me hands on the steering wheel. I said Huhn. He said it again. I said why. He pulls me out of the car and frisks me. Cop says he searched me due to my hands being in my lap. Is this a legitimate reason to search someone if so why. If not why.

You can be searched if the officer fears for his safety. This is a pat down for weapons more than a search.
Why don't you call me or write back at [email protected] so we can discuss this....it sound like you may have a need for an experienced criminal defense attorney.
