purchase a firearm
I would like to purchase a firearm and get a carry permit but have been involanterly commited back when I was 17/18 in 2001. I'm 22 going on 23 is there anyway to be able to do this.

Were you convicted of a felony? If you were under 18 you might have been treated as a juvenile. Were you? If you were not convicted of a felony or were treated as a juvenile then you may be able to purchase a fire arm and carry permit. I'd apply for a carry permit through the Sheriff's office. All they can do is turn you down.
