Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
purgery??
1 year ago, i made a statement to police while intoxicated. I later found out the statement i made was false, it was a case of mistakin identity, which i was not made aware of until weeks later. I recently made the police aware that i was wrong in my statement, but i was unaware of it at the time. Is this considered Purgery? and if so, what consequences could i face?

Re: purgery??
It is not perjury however, if so inclined, the police could charge false reports to law enforcement. If you told then what you believed to be the truth, and they understand that and you rectified the matter when you discovered that you were initially incorrect, then you shouldn't be charged.
If you do get charged, contact an attorney early on in your case.
