Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
This question deals with federal subject-matter jurisdiction and illicit sexual conduct under 18 usc 2423(f)(1), which makes the direct reference to Chapter 109A. Now, if the government specifically stated that the conduct would violate State law, had it occurred, is that a lack of subject-matter jurisdiction issue?

Many federal laws make violations of some state laws and even foreign laws federal crimes as well.
Further do you think a US Attorney would even bother if the federal courts didn't have jurisdiction?
