Re: rape charge

Your own attorney is in a much better position to answer this question. Whether or not he was determined to be a sexually violent predator if the plea was to certain types of offenses he may be required to register under Megan's Law II. If he falls into the category of a sexually violent predator, then the state police notify the police chief of the locality in which he lives of the and the police chief must then notify the offender's neighbors, day care operators and school officials within the municipality.

Re: rape charge

If the plea was to a non-Megan's offense, and the father of the victim places posters around, the person may be able to sue the father for 'intrusion upon seclusion,' or perhaps slander if they are not accurate.

However, criminal records are public records, so as long as the posters are accurate, it will be difficult to get a verdict in favor of the 'offender.'
