Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

reasonable charges or abuse of power?

Background: I am going thru the divorce from hell! My husband has tried setting me up for legal charges on past occasions - hasn't worked. Incident used to file charges of ''stalking and harrassment'': I had rec'd info that my mother-in-law has been making false statements about me (she had prior done this during marriage & got caught creating embarrassing situation for me with a vendor). I placed 1 phone call to mother-in-law requesting she stop her false allegations. Police officer called me a few days later re: my message on answering machine & said I was okay until statement ''if anyone responsible for grandson's death it was she'' which is taken out of context without rest of message (husband told me for 2 yrs prior his family/mom blamed me for son's death as well), officer also said she admitted that she had been making statements about me to others. Husband's brother works for same municipality as police officer, out of location of district justice & is friends with many of the police officers in this municipality. Furthermore, my husband wrote prior note to me that he has received legal advice from this district justice. Do these charges sound reasonable and should this district justice be involved in this matter?

Re: reasonable charges or abuse of power?

You really need to fight these charges. You can have important rights lost and you would have a criminal record. Additional the criminal verdict might be used against you in future civil proceedings. I offer free consultations.
