how to get my record sponge

i would like to get my record sponge and i need to know how to go about doing it.what i have on file is carry a fire arm without alicense at the time it was a mistermeaner 1st degree. the afence happen 14yrs ago.. and i dont have any pryer records and i didnt do anytime,but recevie 5yrs probation for that afence....

What you want to do is get your record "expunged." At various times over the years you would have had more success than at other times. Recently most attorneys will tell you that it is not possible if you were found guilty, even if the sentence was only probation and that you have to file for a pardon. I'm not so sure that this is legally accurate although there is a Pennsylvania Superior Court case that suggests this. The reason I'm not so sure is that the statute governing expungement specifically excludes certain crimes and this seems to me to indicate that, if the particular crime is not one of those listed, the conviction may be expunged. There are differences of opinion, however, and there are arguments both ways.
