Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
Retail Theft
I was accused of and arrested for Retail Theft at my place of employment. The "stolen" items were valued at under 100$. They are in the possession of my former employer and at no time did the items leave the property (they were found concealed on the premises). Based on this information, where does the charge of theft apply?

Re: Retail Theft
Theft under $200 invalue is a Disorderly Persons offence.
Theft is the unlawful taking or exercising of control over the property of another with the purpose of depriving them of the property.
If you took the property and secreted it, why, if not to permanently deprive your employer of it?
