Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

Retail Theft- first offense

I was arrested and given a citation for retail theft. I received a fine for $200 and that's all; however, I'm going to school to be a teacher. I already pleaded guilty, but I'm going to do an appeal because I really need this off my record. What are my chances of striking a deal with the judge to get this cleaned off? What would I have to do to get rid of this? I have a completely clean record, and I've never even gotten a parking ticket.

Re: Retail Theft- first offense

If you plead guilty and were sentenced, you can't appeal. There's nothing to appeal.

You should speak to an attorney before appealling. If you pled to a summary offense, you may be able to finesse an application. If you appeal the unified Justice System Computer will have a publicly accessible record. I offer free initial consultations.
