Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

Retail Theft, 1st Offense, Summary

Shortly after my 18th birthday I made one of the most absurd and damaging desicions of my life. I stole from a Department store with some friends and got caught. I stole merchandise with a value under 40 dollars, and was arrested for a Summary Offense. (This was my first offense) I went before a judge, where I was told I was not being convicted, and was instead ordered to a theft diversion program which I graciously completed. It is almost 3 years later and this haunts me. I am about to graduate from College, and I'm afraid I have worked for nothing, because of a possible record. If you can offer advise I would appreciate it.

If you went into a diversion program, you don't have a record. You can get your record by filling out a form that's on the state police website. It costs $10. You can send it in and get a report and see what it says.
