Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
Rule 600
Does Rule 600, which gives everyone the right to a speedy trial, apply to someone who has a detainer on them? My boyfriend has been locked up for 7 months (220 days more or less) without trial, doesn't that violate rule 600?

Re: Rule 600
If all of the delay was due to the DA then there should be a bail reduction hearing. If some of it is due to the defense seeking continuances then that amount of time doesn't count towards the 180 days.
