Search Warrants

The police have a 48 hr. search warrant for me to perform a handwritten analysis and now that I retained a lawyer they ''Waived'' it. What does waiving a search warrant mean?

I'm assuming that your providing the material they requested so they have no need to execute the warrant. But to make sure, you should ask your attorney.
