Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

Serving of legal papers?

I was served some lagal papers by my x-girlfriends, male friend. They purposly ommited vital information about the complaint and the court date. If I never called I would have missed this date. I know they can choose any person 18 years or older to serve these documents. Did they break the law by only giving me the parts they wanted.

Re: Serving of legal papers?

Yes they did. Of course they are going to say they gave you every thing. Almost impossible to prove a negative.

Before there was a court date you should have been allowed to answer. You have 20 days to file an answer. Assuming its a common pleas case.

If they try to pull this sort of bs in court the judge will slap them.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me. The initial consultation is free.
