Megan's law doesn't effect the outcome with regard to sentence. Megan's law is a registration law, and would be invoked after conviction.
He has to vigorously fight these charges. He needs to hire an attorney experienced in such cases asap.
How many years depends on exactly what he did, and his prior record.
Email me if you wish to discuss further. Again, he needs an attorney asap.
Re: sexual assualt on a minor less than 13
It sounds to me as if this is indecent assault under 18 Pa.C.S. 3126 without knowing more about the details. He is younger than 15 so it will most likely be considered a Delinquent Act under 42 Pa.C.S. 6302 and he will be tried under the Juvenile system.
