si.mple assault
Was in altercation outside of bar..
Words exchanged he threatened me, I
hit him, apparently had bloody nose,
no real bodily harm done. Just received
complaint about 9 months later court
date set to 1 year after. Am I in
serious trouble?

One of my first cases involved a broken nose. It was held for court as an aggravated assault. It's hard to say whether you're in serious trouble or not. You may be able to get it reduced to a summary Disorderly Conduct. Don't go to court, even a Magistrate Court, without a lawyer, though.
