The maximum possible penalty is two years - either in jail or on probation. The exact sentence will be determined by the facts of the case (how badly was someone hurt) as well as facts about the person convicted (is there a prior record, is there remorse, is there an alcohol or anger problem that can be dealt with by treatment, etc...).
Additionally, there are a variety of diversion programs available depending on what county you are in, which include the ARD program everywhere and the Do It Program in Philadelphia. An attorney familiar with the jurisdiction is your best bet to achieve a good result.
