Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

sister hiding inheritance money

There is a problem with a couple of my deceased fathers accounts.Among other thin he told me of 60,000.00 in a savings account and 9,000.oo in checking .I know he had quite a few accounts but I can't remember the names of the banks. My sister is the personal representative. She sent me a copy of one account with 3,000.00 in it and a apparent list that my father made out of his accounts. It is not his handwriting.I have no proof except for what my father told me and all of a sudden my sister has a new car,her one daughter is closing on a home her other daughter just bought a whole house full of furniture they all just took two weeks vacations and my sister quit her job and her husband hasn't worked in 6 years. things just don't seem right. What steps can I take to try to find this money? Hire a lawyer, private investigator? Like I said I have no proof, just what my father told me.

Re: sister hiding inheritance money

You should hire an attorney to Petition for an Accounting. I don't think a private investigator would be much help in this situation.

I would be glad to help...

We may need to hire an investigator, but first I would do some basic legwork at the County Courthouse. I need to interview you to get more details. Please contact the office at your earliest convenience.
