Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

how is that my son caught the kid next door breaking into my house and not be charged. i was told by the officer its because they are only 14yrs old but another kid can be charged threting to stab a kid with a sissor when there were 3 other kids there to say that never happened

I would say that a lot of times it depends on the police officer. Some times officers don't want to get a kid in trouble, other times they really don't care and hit him with everything.
