Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

my son criminal court decision

My son had something to do with this laddies truck being stolen. The juvenile court judge decided that my son only had to pay 400.00 dollars. Now she sent me a letter trying to get more money out of me regardless what the judge said. I only have to follow the directions of the judge to pay the $400.00 right?

Your liability as a parent is limited to $1,000.00 for a single tortious act. In no case is there to be a double recovery for one injury. Any judgment against the child is reduced by the amount paid by the parent. However, the act does not reduce the common law liability of a parent for the child's acts (for example, the parents negligently entrust their vehicle to a child who has been drinking or has a suspended license) and the liability of the parents is separate from the liability of the child.
