It is very, very difficult, if not impossible to get anyone's criminal record expunged in Pennsylvania. If a lawyer asks you to pay his fee to expunge your son's criminal record, you should ask the lawyer to give you assurances in writing that he will successfully expunge your son's criminal record before you pay the attorney anything. If the lawyer refuses to give you written assurance that he will successfully expunge your son's entire criminal record, then any amount of money you pay the attorney will be like throwing it in the trash. You work too hard to pay anyone for false promises.
