If a person is on trial in a state for being a sexual predator; however, that state has no Sexual Predator Act, can the prosecution use the Sexual Predator Act of another state?

if a person is 'wanted' by another state for a violation of their sexual predator law, the new state can charge the person with FOJ (fugitive of justice) for the violation and hold the person for the old state to come and get them.

However, a trial for the actual sexual predator violation itself is a completely different thing.
