Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
In the state of Pennsylvania, when and how does a convicted felon try to get back his firearm rights after a certain period of time?
1 Answer from Attorneys
Once convicted of a felony in this state the chances of getting a license to carry a firearm are slim to none. The Statute is very clear no person convicted of a felony may possess a firearm. Thus unless the conviction goes away, a person convicted of a felony may never get back firearm rights.
But if you want to try and get rid of the felony conviction, you can apply for a pardon with the PA board of pardons, type, www.bop.state.pa.us, into your browser, this website will give you all the information you need to know about Pardons.
