Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
is there a statute law or act which states that a person cannot be mandated to attend a 12 step program ,because they are religously based?

It is my recollection that there is a Third Circuit Court of Appeals case that indicates that because AA/NA is a "religion" as defined by the court, no court may order that someone attend such a program. If you are interested in pursuing this further, please feel free to email me.
