Subpoena: how to avoid going to court

If I will be given a subpoena to testify in court as a witness is there any way I can avoid going to court and testifying?

No...if you do not wish to give testimony because it may indict yourself, then you may always choose your 5th Amendment right to remain silent. Please also be advised that there are other types of protected speech...your best bet is to discuss this with an attorney before you are called to testify.
