Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

Summary offense

I got charged of disorderly conduct (summary offense) for making too much noise in the house I am renting with some friends. No alcohol or drug involved.

I looked at some of your old responses and see that if a summary offense is not popping up on a state police bachground search, it can show up on the listing of private companies on internet specialized on background. Since I want to apply for schools of medecine, is the only way for me to have a clean file to plead non guilty or should I plead no contest?

Thanks for your help.

Re: Summary offense

You can see if they will offer ARD. If you had no prior arrests they might. It allows you to pend the case. You will have to do community service and it costs $50 or so.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me. The initial consultation is free.

Re: Summary offense

the answer to your question is county specific. the point is that you should do whatever you can to ensure that you have no criminal record.
