taking property from anther person w/ force

i had takin my babies moms pill bottle that she told police they were hers but they were her mothers i have them a would lovve to give them back her mom dont know about she told police they were hers if i get a good lawyer will it stick?

Probably not. Your lawyer can simply ask that the baby's mother show her prescription for the pills. But the police should have looked at the pill bottle to see whose prescription it was. Something seems out of kilter here.
