Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

Time limit for preliminary hearing

I was arrested two weeks ago for: DUI, simple assault, terroristic threats, disorderly conduct. I still have not received anything in the mail regarding when my preliminary hearing is. My lawyer has checked several times with the local District Judge's office and they have not received any paperwork from the police regarding my arrest. Is there a time limit for the police to file the charges with the District Judges office?

The night I was arrested, I was finger printed, photographed and released to to my wife. I did not have to post any bail. I live in Pennsylvania.

Re: Time limit for preliminary hearing

If you have an attorney, why don't you ask him/her? The police must bring your criminal charges to trial within one year from the date of the charges being filed. Also all of your stated charges must be filed within two years of the date of the incident or be dismissed.
