for a mistermeaner charge, is it true that the person must be charged if by trail before one year? Does the time run out, case is dismissed?

I think the answer first posted was transmitted to the wrong question. Pursuant to Pa rule of criminal procedure 600
The Commonwealth has 1 year from the date the complaint is filed to bring someone to trial provided there isn't any excludable time. Excludable time would be time 'delays' caused by or requested by the defense.
