Dealing with Titled property like you describe is criminal. You should have had to signed the title over to the dealer. You should contact you local DJ's office to speak with a District Attorney.
The longer answer is that your claim is a question of proof that could be resolved by retaining a lawyer to investigate the matter and file a lawsuit against the dealership.
