Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
Underage Drinking Citation Crime Code 6308
I live in Pennsylvania and I am 19 years old. I just received a Non-Traffic Citation for crime code 6308. The crime is a person commits a summary offense if he/she, being less than 21 years of age, attempts to purchase, purchases, consumes, possesses or knowingly and intentionally transports any liquor or malt or brewed beverages. There was no breathalyzer test and I was not asked to do any test to check my BAC. This is my first offense and first time given a citation or anything of that nature. My record is clean. I am in college in hopes of becoming a teacher and anything on a person's record greatly hurts any advancement in beckoning a teacher. For first time offenders the fine is up to 300 dollars or 90 days in jail. Also a suspension of your license for 90 days. My question is if I plead guilty can I get the citation removed from my record and the suspension of the license reduced.

No what you want to do is see if you can have the DA put you in the ARD program. You pay a much smaller fine, do community service and stay out of trouble and the charges go away.
