Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
unresolved dui in pa.
My husband has unresolved DUI in Pa.It was his third offense, one in 1990,the second in 2000,and the third in 2001.
During the time of the third offense we were in the process oif moving to Ireland, and we did it,not thinking of the consequences. His second sister died of cancer just three weeks after our arrival and was part of the reason for our move here.
Also he is not a citizen of the US,but I am and we have been married for 18 years, and have 6 American children.
Now the time has come for us to move to the US and take care of my parents.
Is there going to be alot of trouble for him upon entry, maybe he will be sent home at the airport.
We really need to be back in the US as some of our kids start college in the fall, our whole family is there.
Also if he has to go to jail what type of facility would they puit him in?

Re: unresolved dui in pa.
What county in Pa was the dui charge from. Find that out first. Then contact an attorney and have then make arrangments for your husband to turn himself in when he arrives home. Maybe the authorites can be persuaded to not have an active warrant out if they are apprised of what the Pa address for him will be and that he will be turning himself in. Contact an attorney before your do anything else though.
Let me know if I can be of any assistance.
