Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
Work release room and board/fines and costs charges.
In Pennsylvania, is there a cap on the amount of money a county jail can charge an inmate for room and board and fines and costs while he is incarcerated? Also, can they legally deduct that amount from the gross pay even before standard and non taxable deductions and orders for support are deducted.

I don't know of any cap. It is different County to County and with some of the Jails that were turned over to private companies it is outrageous.
