Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
I ws detaine an qustioned by the police. I was released without being arrested. Can charges still be brought against me. How long do police have to file charges.
1 Answer from Attorneys
Yes, charges may still be brought against you even after you have been released from questioning. You should contact an Attorney as soon as possible to discuss the specific facts of the case with them. It is important that you do not wait until charges have been filed to consult with an Attorney. Your Attorney may then advise you to not make statements or discuss the case with anybody. If you are near Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, or any of the surrounding counties, you should contact our office immediately to further discuss this issue.
