Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
My x was hit by a car walking home one night recently. He was left for dead in a ditch for 2 hrs. A fireman found him, sent him to the hosp, where he was treated for a crushed foot. The foot was surgically repaired with pins etc. He's now using a wheelchair to get around. This was reported to the police. He didn't see the vehicle etc, it was dark and he was knocked out. My question is. Because of the type of situtaion this is. Is it not the responsiblility of the Police force to Post this senerio in the local paper in order to help catch the person responsible? I feel there is a discrimination against the x because he has a reputation of being the town drunk. Nevertheless, Everyone should be treated the same regardless!!! He was not drunk the night this occured.

No you have the police confused with John Walsh. The local crime stoppers also might put out this information.
There maybe physical evidence the police already have that may lead to an arrest. You have to let the police do their jobs. Putting some of the information may get some one to call in a key piece of information or they could get a 1000 calls that keep them from tracking down who did it.
Your x should contact Victs Witness in your county to see what help he's entitled to.
{John}
