Legal Question in DUI Law in Pennsylvania

1st Time D.U.I.

I got arrested for D.U.I. after safely pulling into my own driveway -- the cop followed me home. I was at .10. This is the first time I've been arrested for anything. The officer said not to worry, that I won't lose my license and I won't have to serve any jail time. I have to face the D.A. in a month and the officer said we can probably work something out so that I don't lose my license because it is crucial for my job. Could this actually be true?

Re: 1st Time D.U.I.

ARD for 1st time DUI is a 1 or 2 month suspension. PennDOT will never process a work license in that short a period of time even if you are eligible. If the officer didn't have probable cause to stop you you may be able to plea to something else. I offer free consultations.
