Legal Question in DUI Law in Pennsylvania

Hi. I was arrested in PA for a misdemeanor DUI in 2005. As a result my car was impounded and I ended up losing my job and unable to pay my rent. I had no family in the states so I moved to Europe where my mother lives before my court date. I have since stopped drinking with the help of AA over here and want to clear this matter up in case I ever want to return to the States for a visit. What should I do, contact the courthouse and ask them if I can pay the fine from here? It was my first offense for anything but I assume they wont be too lenient since I skipped court.

Almost assuredly, there is an outstanding warrant for your arrest since you failed to appear for court.

If you contact me offsite, I'll see what I can do to help you.
