DUI offense punishment
what is the manditory jail time for a person who fails to attend his/her scheduled date to do his/her time? i am hearing everywhere from six months to three years. also is there any way for this person to possibly be released early and given paroll?

if you fail to turn yourself in at the time given by the judge, the judge can now either violate your sentence and resentence you, or he can hold you in contempt. My guess is that you won't get more then an additional six months unless you have a very tough judge. but, to answer your question directly, there is no mandatory for failure to turn in that i know of.

Although there is no minimum, what a Judge is likely to do with a case like that depends upon the circumstances. If it was a 3 day mandatory minimum on the DUI charge then I think you are looking at a much different scenario than if it was a one year mandatory minimum.
