Legal Question in DUI Law in Pennsylvania

DUI from PA to NC

Hello:

My husband recently got a DUI in PA. He is due to go for his initial hearing August 9, 2006. He does have legal counsel. Although we are moving September 1, 2006 to North Carolina. Can he go ahead and apply for a North Carolina drivers license tomorrow 8/4/2006? He will have his license suspended in PA for at least 2 months, but can he drive in North Carolina.

You should ask the attorney already on the case, as he or she is more familiar with the specifics. North Carolina, however, is part of the interstate compact governing drivers licenses. This means that your husband will get reciprocal suspensions.

This is absolutely the reason you have legal counsel. I would call your husband's attorney and talk to him or her!

Why did you pay for an attorney if you don't want their legal advice?
