Legal Question in DUI Law in Pennsylvania

dui question

i have completed all my required courses requirements except the last 3 months of probation costs totaling 118.00 however i got a paper saying i have to appear in court for outstanding balances of 648.05. wondering why and if i have 2 appear at that court hearing. thnks

Why would you question if you have to appear? If you get a notice saying you have to appear, then you have to appear. Otherwise, a bench warrant will be issued for you and you will abe arrested.

As to why you have to appear, if your calculations are correct, then there is some sort of discrepancy that you should straighten out once you appear at the hearing.

You must go to the clerk of courts or to the ujsportal website in PA to find out why you have a difference in fees owed.

Also contact your probation officer concerning the difference.

Lastly, you absolutely have to appear or else you will turn a minor problem into a major problem, i.e., when you get picked up on the warrant you will stay in jail for a while until you can get in front of a judge.
