dui statue of limitations

If I had a DUI on March 22 of 2005 and the case has been postponed all year until march 28th of 2006 is there a time limit

The statute of limitation on DUI is five years. The statute of limitation refers to when prosecution is Commenced - not when it is over.

Based on what you're saying, I can't tell if you might have a speedy trial motion or not, under rule 600 or rule 1013. It depends on whether you reached some sort of a deal with the prosecution, like ARD or DDIPP, or, more generally, on WHY the case was continued for so long.

Retain an attorney before you blow an opportunity to have your case dismissed, if you don't it's only your criminal record.
