DUI - statue of limitations in PA

I was arrested and processed for a DUI in PA. During the arraignment or pretrial (not sure which) the judge allowed me to apply for ARD. Now over a year went by before I heard anything on the ARD. I was eventually accepted but it took them over a year to get to me. Is there a statue of limitations that would help me get out of the DUI all together since it took them that long?

You probably signed a waiver form at the time of your application to ARD.
