Legal Question in DUI Law in Pennsylvania

DUI/Possession

My boyfriend was driving under the influnce on Januay 26. He was taken to prison and is now awaiting a sentencing. He had a prior DUI in June. He also recieved notification that he was a wanted fugitive in the sate of maryland for possession of marijuana. As typical as this may seem, he has no recollection of this what-so-ever. He has a hearing for thatase on the 20th of February. He never knew about the marijuana case. There were no dates or locations given to him while he's been in jail dealing with this case. He feels that if this did occur, he most likely should have heard at the time of his first dui arrest in pennsylvania that he had a warrant in maryland. He has been going to his probation officer for the past 6 months or so and was never notified of this! Also on all of his documents and ID tag for the prison, his name is spelled incorrectly, Shaffer instead of Schaffer. I am just really confused with the whole situation. He needs help. How cold these charges have just showed up, when he swears he knows nothing about them? Shouldn't there be a record of the date and time of this possessi charge?

He can get a copy of the warrant at some point. There is a limit to how long PA will hold someone for MD. Ask his lawyer to call and get a copy. The name spelled wrong thing is not an issue.
