Legal Question in DUI Law in Pennsylvania
Not given a field sobriety test, blood test or urine sample
I was told three times by two different
officers that I wouldn't be charged with
DUI. I did not have to take a field
sobriety test, blood test or give urine. I
was at home for 20 minutes prior to the
police arriving. However, my vehicle was
observed driving erradically by a
motorist. I fully cooperated with the
police because they indicated that my
name would not be in the newspaper
and I wouldn't be cited for DUI. Now,
my case has been turned over to the DA
and my boss, a superintendent of a
public school has been contacted. If
charged, I would loss my job? Please
advise

Re: Not given a field sobriety test, blood test or urine sample
Why would your boss be notified? That doesn't make much sense. And, either the police filed charges or they didn't. If they didn't, the DA wouldn't be involved.
It seems that there are a few facts missing that I'd like to ask about if you'd like to give me a call or email me. (Please feel free to call or email regardless of where in the state you're located)
In sum, though, if you didn't have a blood or breath test, I'm not sure how they could pursue DUI charges.
